Earl Gabriel Erd\u00f6dy (the son of Kri\u0161tof Erd\u00f6dy \u2013 the founder of the monastery) and his wife\u00a0Judita Amade were great benefactors of Katar\u00ednka. In their times, a\u00a0reconstruction and a renovation of the monastery as well as an extension of the church into a\u00a0larger temple were performed thanks to their generous contributions; Gabriel and\u00a0Judita thus elevated the church and monastery and enabled their further existence and development. A\u00a0benefactor (in Slovak: mec\u00e9n or mecen\u00e1\u0161) is therefore perceived as a supporter, sympathiser, helper, patron or sponsor.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Many of us cannot participate at the events at Katar\u00ednka and come as often as wished for work and family reasons, but they developed an attachment to Katar\u00ednka and would like to support it continually. Or, as the case may be, there are several ones of you who would like to help Katar\u00ednka regularly also \u201coutside the season\u201d and are looking for a\u00a0convenient way to do it.<\/p>\n

It is exactly for those of you for whom benefactorship \u2013 regular donations or continual financial support of\u00a0the Katar\u00ednka project performed on a\u00a0monthly basis \u2013 is destined.<\/p>\n

Our aim is also to ensure the running of the Katar\u00ednka project through other funding sources, such as grants and subsidies, whose results are often uncertain, and we cannot know beforehand with what sum we can count in the given year.<\/p>\n

Not the amount but the regularity of your contribution is important!<\/h2>\n

It does not matter if you can donate 3, 4, 5, 10 or 20 euros a month\u00a0\u2013 every single euro of your regular donations will help us a lot!<\/p>\n

In fact, thanks to regular donations of benefactors, we can plan the necessary work, buying of construction material as well as overall funding of the upcoming work season much more efficiently.<\/p>\n
